Event Description

The Chaplain Corps Staff College is an academic program for Civil Air Patrol Chaplains. The two primary areas of focus are preparing Chaplains to become mission rated Chaplains and to prepare Chaplains to administer service and support during crisis situations and emergencies.

Eligibility

Current Civil Air Patrol Chaplains in good standing.

Tuition / Lodging

Based on an estimated total attendance of fifty (College Staff/Special Guests, Chaplains and Character Development Instructors) and allowing for the subsidy from CAP NHQ, the cost per person for college registration, course materials, and the Wednesday night banquet is $60.00 per person. Housing is not included in the registration fee! Each participant will be responsible for securing and paying for their room while at the college. Moody AFB has a block of rooms set aside for our attendees at approximately $39.00 per night single occupancy and approximately $90.00 per night for double occupancy although this is subject to change.

Transportation

Transportation to and from such activity is not the responsibility of CAP and is provided "as available”. Privately owned vehicles travel to or from such activity is performed strictly at the member’s own risk (reference CAPR 77-1 and CAPR 52- 16) and is not under CAP direction and control. Transportation during the activity will NOT be provided.

Meals

Meals, other than the Wednesday evening banquet, will be the responsibility of each attendee. In addition to the Moody AFB commissary, there are several fast-food restaurants in the area. 

Uniform of the Day

All uniforms MUST BE clean, pressed and in good condition, and worn properly per regulations. College participants will maintain a well groomed, professional image and demeanor at all times!

For taking the class picture

US Air Force Style Service Dress Blue with Coat (with Grey epaulettes, ribbons/badges per regulations, brushed silver Name Tag), Blue AF style shirt/blouse (long or short sleeve), Grey Epaulettes/Name Tags (on shirt/blouse), Tie/ Tab & Flight Cap, blue belt, black/blue socks, black shoes.

Optional accepted uniforms for those who do not meet the weight and grooming standards for wearing the above specified uniforms.
CAP Corporate Business Style Uniform with Blazer, white Aviator shirt, Grey pants/slacks/skirt, Tie/Tab, black belt/socks/shoes, breast-pocket Name Tag.

For class attendance/AE activity

Air Force Style short-sleeve shirt/blouse (open collar – no tie/tab – badges per regulations [NO RIBBONS]), blue pants/slacks/skirt, Grey Epaulettes/Name Tag, blue belt, black/blue socks, black shoes, and flight cap.

Optional accepted uniforms for those who do not meet the weight and grooming standards for wearing the above specified uniforms.
White short-sleeve Aviator shirt/blouse, (open collar – no tie/tab – badges per regulations [NO RIBBONS]), Grey pants/slacks/skirt, Grey Epaulettes/Name Tag, black belt, black socks, black shoes, and NO flight cap.

Banquet

The CAP Mess Dress Uniform (with mini medals/badges/crest per regulations), Air Force Style Service Dress Blue Uniform (per guidelines above), CAP Corporate Business Style Dress uniform with Blazer (per guidelines above) with black Bowtie/Tab, Civilian Business Suit with Tie/Bowtie, Formal Gown or After-Five Attire (Women) are appropriate to be worn by those attending the Chaplain Corps Staff College Banquet.

NO Polo Shirt combination uniforms, BDU’s [Camouflage/Dark Blue] or Flight Suits [Green Nomex/Dark blue] are acceptable to be worn during the college. Appropriate civilian attire will be worn for all after-class, personal or off base activity.

Check-In

Check in will be take place between 1300 and 1700 Hrs, Monday 14 May 2012.

**SPECIAL NOTICE**

The location of this activity is scheduled to take place on an active US Air Force Base.  Due to the nature of real world events, participation on a military installation can change as this Civil Air Patrol activity is considered a non-priority event.   Although unlikely, it is possible that our facilities at the planned installation will become unavailable to us with short notice.  The event staff will work towards providing an alternate location should such an scenario occur.
